The Wal Mart Dream
I guess it's just about the dream of any start up that sells a product targeting general consumers. To "get in" to Wal Mart. But what most people don't realize is the power Wal Mart can bring to advancing your product further and faster. Our product is about putting sayings and "things" onto a 1" canvas that allows people to wear them in a variety of ways to express the things they love or things they think. Obviously, that brings up literally thousands of ideas such as sports, quotes, pictures, schools, etc.
The challenge is, MOST of those "things" require licensing to be truly successful and attractive to consumers. Consumers buy brands. MLB, NCAA, NASCAR...and for each "brand or entity" there is an associated fee. Those fees are the thing that keep new companies with a great idea and restricted budget from breaking through. That's where Wal Mart comes in, or quite frankly, any mass retailer who might sell your type of product. They have the clout, and most likely, the licensing already secured to now populate your product and bring a wide selection of that product to market that would attract people to buy them.
But here's the tricky part...getting a Wal Mart to notice. On average, they have thousands of companies like us a week pounding a pathway to Bentonville to appeal to the executives who choose to select their products. Wal Mart is about volume. Volume pricing and quality volume products that strike a chord with their customers. We feel we have such a product, and with the right partner like Wal Mart, Spazzles and Charmz could quickly become a staple item for them. So, we plod along, doing our best to strategically "get noticed" and perhaps even one day drive one of those critical buyers at Wal Mart to sit up and take notice and say, "hey! I could put licensing all over those things and sell a ton of them to my customers!"
It's never a bad thing to dream...but it's an awful thing to stop trying!

Charmz are coming soon!
Well, we made it past the prototype stage and we are happy to announce that Charmz are looking like a real winner! Amazing quality, cute as a button, and our timing couldn't be better. Silicone wrist bands are at an all-time popularity high according to the press. Girls are trading and wearing these bracelets in droves, and we just happen to be the only company with a new product to accessorize them! We have our fingers crossed and retailers on our call list.
Initial Distribution Strategy
Our first order will be a few limited but popular designs in mass quantities. We have selectively located key friends around the country with daughters to take batches of these exciting new Charmz, and wear them, hand them out to other friends, and get the viral Sunami going!

We made the launch!
This Saturday, April 3rd, the launch of the new iPad happens. And with only an estimated 1,000 apps at launch time, Silly Songz will now have the best chances to date to be discovered. We made it into the launch with our newly designed product made especially for the iPad!!!
18 months ago, we released the iPhone version, but came into the game a tad late. At that time, there were already some 50,000 apps in the store which as you might figure made "being seen" pretty hard. That's why once we were notified about the new SDK for developers to use for this new product, we immediately jumped on the opportunity. And if this goes well, the clear exposure could in turn drive even more downloads of Silly Songz in the iPhone platform.

That's Beast is..."That's Beast!"
Confused? Don't be. We were all kids once, and we all had sayings we used that meant certain things. Well, we are going to capitalize on this current saying, "That's Beast!" It means, totally awesome, cool, fine, hip, groovy...okay, going backwards here. The point is, we are going to cross promote with That's Beast by endorsing t-shirts for sale. And if this goes, you will soon see Spazzles adorned with this recent pop culture saying.

Introducing Charmz!
Coming in about 45 days Spazzles will be launching a brand new product. Targeting young girls between the ages of 6 and 16, Charmz are miniature Spazzles that slip easily onto colorful rubber wrist bracelets with a wide variety of designs girls can trade and share. "I wanted to create a product that had a viral aspect to it. Something that would appeal to girls and the bonds they build during their younger years that last and last," said Tasha Farmer, CEO of Spazzles.
The company will be launching Charmz into first gear by late April and hope to have retail participation soon afterwards. Rest assured, we will keep you posted about the progress of this new and exciting product line.

Spazzles Weigh In at Celebrity Fight Night!
Coming in March, and in support of the Muhammad Ali Foundation to fight Parkinson’s disease, Spazzles will adorn all of the tables at perhaps the biggest celebrity event outside the Oscars! Attendees will be given commemorative Spazzles in support of this great cause and event. Look for plenty of pictures in our posts at the conclusion of this wonderful annual charity fundraiser!

Talladega Days!
Here's some excitement. Our own Barb Gibson and her husband Jay just got back from the race at Tallagadega with pictures from the stands. Spazzles are clearly a natural! The only thing missing at this point are team and driver Spazzles. Write your congressmen, e-mail your drivers, and tell them you want Spazzles to wear and promote them!
